| 1. Ashwini Vaishnaw, the Union Minister for Railways, Information and Broadcasting, and Electronics and IT, announced the RailTech Policy and the full digitization of the Railway Claims Tribunal (RCT). This is a big step toward technology-driven governance. As part of its “52 Reforms in 52 Weeks” program, Indian Railways is working to modernize its operations and improve services for citizens. These are Reform Number Three and Reform Number Four.

| 2. The Atal Innovation Mission (AIM) under NITI Aayog has started the first State Innovation Mission (SIM) in Tripura. This is a big step toward making innovation and entrepreneurship a part of the State’s long-term development plan. The project is part of AIM 2.0 and works within NITI Aayog’s State Support Mission (SSM). Its goal is to create strong and context-specific innovation ecosystems that are in line with national goals.

3. The Indian Navy got INS Anjadip, the fourth ship in the Anti-Submarine Warfare Shallow Water Craft (ASW-SWC) project, at Chennai Port on February 27, 2026. Admiral Dinesh K. Tripathi, Chief of the Naval Staff, led the ceremony, and Vice Admiral Sanjay Bhalla, Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Eastern Naval Command, hosted it. The event was attended by high-ranking naval officers, shipbuilders, and other important people. The ship is named after Anjadip Island, which is off the coast of Karwar. It makes India’s coastal defense and anti-submarine warfare stronger. It opened in Hapania, Agartala, and is a big step toward making the state’s startup ecosystem stronger. Dr. Manik Saha, the Chief Minister, officially opened the facility under the Tripura State Innovation Mission. Dr. Jitendra Singh, the Union Minister of State for Science and Technology and Earth Sciences, was there to see it happen. The goal of the project is to make Tripura a new innovation-driven economy in the Northeast. 6. The University of Jammu is getting ready to host the third edition of its flagship multi-genre youth festival, Goonj 2026. This event will bring together students and faculty to celebrate creativity and school spirit. Manoj Sinha, the Lieutenant Governor and Chancellor of the University, will open the two-day event. Professor Bechan Lal, who used to be the Vice-Chancellor of Cluster University and is now the Governor of Assam’s Advisor, will be at the valedictory function. Goonj was started in 2024 to help students grow in all areas and feel more like they belong in the university community.
